Sledding and Snow Play

This is what we did today!! What did you do?

Oh Dear......

So as you know we have a ton of snow on the ground. For some unknown reason my husband decided yesterday to paint the ceiling in the living room. He made a giant mess, leaving white splatter everywhere! After that he decided to prime the trim and fill in all the holes in the walls so we can paint the living room. Which I am excited about painting just not now!

This is the living room before, this was taken with the light on and with the flash. You see how dark it is.

When we moved in here we had to paint and clean in a hurry so we didn't have time to fill in all the nail holes and things like that. I guess the people that lived here before us had a ton of stuff to hang on the walls because there are a ton of holes.

Let me just say that they didn't just use normal size nails and screws they used BIG nails and screws! It was crazy!! But we got everything pulled out and all the holes filled and let me just say it makes a world of difference!

You will notice that the trim is a stained trim well not for long.....

This is just primed but it looks so much better. Please don't look at the mess is the living room. Everything is piled in the middle of the living room

I am thinking of leaving the blue tape on the windows forever! : )

More to come with pictures of the new color!!

A pre ice storm trip to Wal-Mart

Get ready to be entertained to say the least. As most of you know the great ice storm of 2010 is going to make it presents tomorrow. Well I had to go get groceries tonight for us to survive this adventure. I knew going into this it was going to be a madhouse but it had to be done. I am going to use the 1.2.3 method to explain the craziness

1. It was 52 degrees when I went into Wal-Mart. People are acting as though it is icy and snow covered already outside. Relax and just get your darn groceries

2. There is NO need to run! It will only make shopping worse for everyone including yourself.

3. To the lady who was taking groceries out of another shoppers cart, there is no need for that. I know that there was a bread shortage but I mean really! I kid you not she took 2 loaves of bread out of a ladies cart. I was shocked

4. I hope this next statement offends anyone: to the Hispanic parents DON'T LET YOUR KIDS LAY, RUN, CRAWL OR ANYTHING ELSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WALK WAY!! You can only get 2 carts side by side in an isle and if your children are in the way it causes a traffic jam.

5. To the lady that was behind me in the check out, you have to back up away from the debt card thing so I can sign if you want to be able to check out anytime in the next decade! BACK OFF and stop hitting me with your darn cart.

I am now home and my groceries are put away, my blood pressure is now back to where is should be! Thank  Goodness!!

Another thing that peeves me about the STUPID storm is I have a very excited soon to be 5 year old, that is really hoping for a great Fun City birthday Saturday and as of this moment my not happen because of  this stupid weather.

I think I am done blabbing about the amazing shoppers at my local Wal-Mart!

I forgot to post these earlier!!!

Jackson's Mimi got him the lovely little weapon for Christmas. He has tried and failed several times to fly it in the house. I finally told him to wait until it was nice outside and he could fly it outside to his little hearts content! Well Sunday was the big fly day!

Getting ready for take off

Can you see the blue helicopter?? I was to afraid to get to close! So I stood really close to the house so I was in the safe zone.

The Captain!! : )

Man Down!!!! It flew over the fence!

Walking to get his helicopter

The rescue squad!

Chris built J a ladder for his trampoline

I think he is excited about the new ladder.

Some exciting news....

Well this weekend we got some interesting news. My Grandma lives in Omaha and she has been having health issues, my mom has told her several times that she should move down here to be closer to family incase something happens to her we will all be here to take care of her. Well she finally agreed, which was a total shock to me because I thought we would have to drive up there and drag her back kicking and screaming. But we don't! Thank goodness! Anyways.... when they get here they of course will need a place to live. Let me go back a couple of years and say that Chris and I bought our house which is only 2 bed 1 bath. It is an old house that needed a lot of love and attention. We gave it lots and lots of love and attention and made it a cute little house but when we bought it, it was too small for us. Not to mention now that we both work in town the 35- 45 min drive that we have to make everyday is getting really really old. Now fast forward to Saturday, I was chit chatting with my momma about my Grandma and I told her that I thought she should by our house from us and we could buy a house in Pea Ridge. My mom said that was a great idea. She has since talked to my Grandma and she thinks that it is a FANTASTIC idea. We haven't nailed down all the details but it looks as though before the summer ends we will be moved to Pea Ridge! You have no idea how excited I am about all of this!! Chris and I looked on the internet this weekend and found a couple of houses that we really like that are at amazing prices! I do have a couple of worries, mostly that something will happen and we won't be able to move. I haven't been exactly responsible with my credit. Which I have learned from! Believe me!!! So please pray that everything goes smoothly and that we get to make this next step in our lives.  When we know more I will let all of you know. I will also eventually post either pictures or a link to the house that we pick or that picks us!! : )

Money well spent!

You remember this post about my  Black Friday purchases. Well that was the best $186.56 I have ever spent!
Jackson has jumped on his trampoline everyday that it hasn't rained. Today we got home earlier than we normally do so he got to jump for a whole hour! He was in heaven!

Here are a few pictures of putting the thing together!!

I missed the lets dress alike memo for the day!

Umm... I think we are missing pieces. No that isn't right either.... Those are 2 statements that were made while constructing the trampoline!

Helping pick up the trash.

Almost done!
