Since I work for one of the GREATEST company's around I have the honor of having Good Friday off. Usually I would just spend it at home with J cleaning or just being lazy but today I decided that I needed just a few more hours of mommy time. So J went to his Pa's to work and I headed to town.
First I sold some bows I made. Which turned out super cute and I was so excited about. Then I headed over to the in-laws house to meet my MIL. We headed off to Sam's because I needed to get chips for our family gathering on Sunday for Easter. I am pretty sure I bought enough! I got 4 HUGE bags I wasn't sure what kind people would want so I got a variety! After that we headed to lunch at Red Lobster and chatted while we ate. We were really in NO hurry today because well it was all about us. We headed to get mani/pedi's after lunch and it was fantastic, well other than the monsoon that came down while we were in there. I felt totally refreshed after having my feet, legs, arms and hands scrubbed and rubbed! I got a bright pink polish on both fingers and toes in celebration of SPRING!!! MIL and I walked through a few stores at the outdoor mall but since it was raining we decided we would head to Target so I could Easter Bunny shop and get eggs and coloring so we could color eggs tonight. After that I headed home. Decided to stop and buy new wiper blades. First let me say I hate going into part stores because they talk to me like I am a total idiot! I'm not I am well aware of what year and model and even what size engine my truck has. This isn't my first rodeo with a automobile! I go in and say I need replacement blades the guy ask all the information I give it to him and he gives me the blades. I head to C's work so he can put them on. Get there only to discover that they are WAY to small. Head BACK to the store take them in there and told the SAME guy these are too small. His exact words are: NO they aren't the computer says those are right. I nicely tell him again these are too small.
Him: Well they can't be that is what the computer says
Me: Well I am telling you these are too small if you don't believe me take a tape measure out there and measure them.
Him: grabs tape measure goes out side and measures
Him: did you know that your blades are 2 different sizes.
Me: Yes, I didn't know that until today but yes I am aware that they are 2 different sizes
Him: Why?
Me: I don't know. Those are the same blades that were on there when we bought the stupid truck in 2007. Next time I am at Toyota I will ask that same stupid question and let you know.
Him: goes gets the new blades
Me: ANNOYED!
Him: the difference is 9.21
Me: you mean to tell me that A#1 you sold me the wrong blades the first time, I had to drive back over here for you to talk to me like I am the stupid one and I owe you more money.
Him: Yes ma'am.
Me: extremely ANNOYED
After all of that he wouldn't even put the stupid things on for me because he was the only one working and couldn't!
Ugh, where was I... Oh yes, picked J up and came home only to realize that I forgot to get stuff to make salsa and J needed new shampoo. I know I am in the running for Mother of the Year! I boiled eggs to color only to have one bust in the boiling water which made a HUGE mess! Cooked dinner and cookies for dessert. We colored eggs and yes I took pictures but I am to lazy to go get the camera upload pictures and post them so I will tomorrow. Now I am getting ready to go climb in my bed with a book my MIL let me burrow. It is the 3rd in a series that her and I have been reading so I am super excited to see what happens with the characters. If you have ever read anything by Karen Kingsbury let me know what your favorite is. I am currently reading Take Three in the Above the Line series. I so far haven't read one I didn't like.
