I am a simple girl

Most women on Valentine's day want: Roses mostly by the dozen and in the color RED or some shade of PINK. Me I will take flowers to plant in my flower pots outside in the spring.
Most women on Valentine's day want: Diamonds that sparkle. Usually that are large in size and price tag. Me I have my wedding ring I am good on the sparkle. Not that I am saying I would turn it down if my husband showed up with this
I wouldn't complain.
Most women on Valentine's day want: a romantic candle light fancy high priced dinner. Me I will take dinner at home!
This is what makes me a simple girl. My Valentine plans include steak, potatoes, green bean bundles, a bonfire, and a great group of friends!
How are you spending your Valentine's Day??

2 post in one

Today on FB a question was asked. I am curious as to what everyones answer would be so I am going to ask you: If you could pick between having a million dollars or a million friends which would you pick? and why?
I would a million dollars! I happen to love each and every one of my friends! There aren't many of them but the ones I have are amazing! They don't judge me, they love me just the way I am! I know that anytime I need them day or night they are here for me! So with that, where is my million dollars I want to take my friends to the beach!

My second question is:
Let me start by saying I love my job and I love the company that I work! My boss is amazing and understanding. My co-workers are the best group of girls! But I have an opportunity to apply for another job. This job gives me summers off along with several days through out the year off too. All of these days are paid which makes this great! The hours are awesome. I would get off about the same time J gets out of school. He will be starting Kindergarten this fall so it would be incredible to not have to find after school care for him. This new job would pay about what I am making now, so that is a plus too. The part I am having a hard time with is the fact that I have 4 years at my current job, I have been told to just hang in there and it will be my time to get a promotion. I just don't know what to do! I need advice!! Please!!! Tell me what you would do!!!

You have to be kidding me!!!

So today at work I was doing lunch phones and there was an ad for Pajama Grams.
They have a Hoodie Footie Snuggle suit!
I am NOT kidding!!!! This isn't a joking matter!
I have always joked about wanting footie pj's because they look so warm when little kids wear them but, seriously!! You know how much it would suck if you had to get up and pee in the middle of the night and you couldn't get this thing un-zipped and off quick enough!!!

What will they come with next!!

Super Bowl Food

Need a quick food idea for your Super Bowl party well I have 2 great dips!!!

First is:
Homemade Salsa
Here is what you will need
2 cans of whole tomatoes
1- 4oz can of green chilies
1 jalapeno pepper
half of a bell pepper
a bunch of cilantro
3 onions ( the green stick kind) : )
lemon juice
garlic powder
salt
sugar

Drain both cans of tomatoes
put those in your food processor
Blend for a few seconds so you have room to add your other stuff too!
add your chopped green chilies to your tomatoes
add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
and 1 teaspoon sugar

Next:
Add your half bell pepper
Remember to remove the seeds! Cut into small strips or small pieces
Add your 3 stick onions. I use my kitchen shears to cut them up.
Take about a 1/4 of the bunch of cilantro wash it and trim the ends off. I use my shears again and just cut the cilantro into the food processor.
Next is the jalapeno.
If you want to make HOT salsa cut the top of the jalapeno and cut it half and throw it in.
If you have small children who also may want to eat it, take all the seeds out of your jalapeno. If you even get one in there it will be a little spicy!

After you get all this in your food processor, put your lid on and turn it on for about 20 seconds.
It should look like this

Put in a bowl cover and put it in the refrigerator until you are ready to eat!

Next is:
Cream Cheese dip
You will need:
2 packages cream cheese
1 can rotel
1 thing of sausage

Soften the cream cheese
cut into small squares and add to your crockpot
I turn it on to high until I get everything added
Add your can of rotel

Brown your sausage, make sure you get it cook really well.
Add it to the crockpot
Stir everything together and put the lid on!
Turn down to low.
Stir every now and then to make sure all the cream cheese is melted!
Get your tortilla chips ready and enjoy!!!!

5 years ago today

Five years ago today at 10:32 am we brought this boy into the world.

The moment that happened I was in love!

Happy Birthday Jackson! Mommy loves you so much! Even when you are grumpy I still love you! : )
I can't wait for the next 5 years!!

Here are a few pictures from his Ardemagni birthday party yesterday!

Chandlyr was clapping everytime Jackson would open his presents! I love this boy!
Opening Mamaw's present... it was clothes of course. Jackson kept smelling them and saying they smell like mothballs, which they did!

He got some more clothes from Uncle Roger and Aunt Brenda! We are ready for summer now!!
Mom and Dad got him a Nintendo DS! He has begged for one and begged for one! I found this one on craigslist for $75! It even came with the Nerf case! He loves it!!
Grandpa Scott and Grandma Rhonda got him Mario Kart!
Nick, Ashley, Chandlyr and Baby ? got him Madagascar Kartz!
He loves racing games!
Kara, Karla and Braxton gave him $25 dollars to go buy another game for his DS. The card came with these punch out glasses. Kara told Jackson she would put them on if he would...... So here is Kara
Here is Jackson
And finally Mamaw!
I love this woman!

We did a little sledding while we are there those pictures will be posted later
Now I am off to pay Wii with my birthday boy!
